What you need to provide
Once you have booked your treatment, one of our massage therapists, usually Mirko (see the ‘My Story’ page), will come to your home on the agreed date and time. All you need to do is prepare a free area (approximately 1.5 m x 3 m) in the quietest room/area available. We will bring a massage table and equipment. We will only ask you to provide a couple of towels for the massage table, usually 1 very large and 1 medium/large, but we will bring a roll of paper for the bed to avoid dirtying your towels and to absorb most of the oil used (see paragraph on oils used).
We strongly recommend setting a comfortable temperature in the room, so that it is warm or cool enough for you to be comfortable (around 22-24 °C in winter and 25-30 °C in summer).
We also recommend that family, friends and pets in the house/boat/hotel are occupied or away to minimise disturbance.
This room/area will be your refuge to promote relaxation and get the maximum benefits from the treatment.
Consultation before treatment
The first time we meet:
Once the car is parked and we have met at your home, you will be given a consultation form to fill out while the equipment is being set up. You will need to pay particular attention to the ‘Conditions and/or symptoms’ section, so that we can understand whether or not there are any contraindications (absolute, regional or conditional). Then there will be a brief verbal consultation.
From the second time onwards:
you will not need to fill out any forms. You will only be asked if your condition has changed.
How you will fell after the massage
Marvelous! Extremely relaxed and lighter. Stress, tension, physical and mental fatigue, and certain pains will be alleviated, leading to renewed energy and ambition. After just one treatment, you will sleep more deeply and uninterruptedly. Some clients experience a renewed sense of confidence and control.
After a treatment, it is recommended to drink plenty of water to help eliminate toxins, waste products and lactic acid from the body, which are drained from the tissues by the mechanical action of the massage and released into the bloodstream.
If you are not used to long therapy sessions, you may experience some residual soreness/fatigue or a slight headache as side effects of the treatment. This is due to an increase in metabolic waste in the circulatory system and will pass within a few hours, especially if you drink enough water.
Afterwards, you will feel better than ever.

How to choose the treatment
It depends on the reason for treatment:
-
If you want to relax your body and mind, we recommend the “Relaxing Massage”.
-
If you want to feel more energetic and invigorated, we recommend the “Revitalising Massage”.
-
If you want to soothe pain, we recommend the “Pain Relief Massage”.
-
If you need or want to experience more than one of the effects described above, we recommend choosing the "Customised Massage". This is the most comprehensive and therapeutic treatment. Without you even noticing, we will continuously assess the condition of your muscles, tissues and joints, so that if we notice tension or stiffness in a particular part of your body, we can pay more attention on that area, adapting our techniques and movements accordingly.
We will always take into account the goals you want to achieve. We will consider your life situation and your work. After this treatment, you will feel relaxed, renewed and your pain will be relieved.
If you are unsure which treatment is best for you, don't worry, we will discuss your needs and help you decide which one will be most beneficial.
Procedure for undressing
Once we are ready to begin the session, you will be asked to remove any clothing that prevents the treatment from being carried out as discussed, so you will be left alone in the room. Out of respect for your privacy, I will leave the room to go to the bathroom to wash the hands with warm water and soap and, if necessary, put on a uniform, so that you can undress and cover yourself with a towel if you wish. After a few minutes, I will be back, knocking on the door to ask if I can come in, and then we will be ready to start. If you are using a towel, try to cover yourself as best you can, in the way that makes you feel most comfortable.
How often you should receive this treatment
Massage is probably the most powerful and natural way to relax the human body. It has the potential to relieve pain, reduce tension and bring relaxation and pleasure.
Everyone can benefit from a good massage on a regular basis, regardless of their activity level and job. The benefits of our treatments can be felt for several days.
We recommend that you contact us for a regular treatment at least once a month. It will improve your quality of life.
American writer Robert Braiult said, ‘Massage is the only form of physical pleasure that nature forgot to give consequences to.’ Another reason to believe that the more massages you have, the better your physical and mental health will be.
*COVID-19 policy - work environment (*optional from 2022)
If you wish, or if you are vulnerable to respiratory viruses, in addition to maintaining a safe distance from each other before and after the massage, you can choose:
1- to keep a window and/or door in the room slightly open to ensure ventilation and good air quality
2- for us to wear a mask or face covering if it makes you feel safer
3- In any case, you will need to provide your own towels for the massage table, usually a couple, at least one very large and one medium/large
...about the duration
The duration of a treatment depends on you, your time and your budget. You can choose from 45 minutes onwards. For a session shorter than 45 minutes, the price does not change. For a full-body session, the essential time is 60-90 minutes, but we recommend trying the 90-minute session. Keep in mind that the more time you spend on the treatment, the more effective it will be. It will be an investment in your health and well-being.
Please note that it usually takes about 15 minutes to prepare everything before the session and to tidy/pack up afterwards. During the first session, there will also be a consultation lasting about 10-15 minutes. Therefore, for the first session only, please allow for an additional 30 minutes, included in the price, on top of the chosen treatment.
Please note: the price does not depend on the type of treatment, but only on the duration you have chosen.
Clothing
The best way to benefit from a massage is to remove clothing from the part of the body being massaged. For a full body massage, it is best to remove all clothing except underwear or any other garmet you may want to leave on.
It is important that you feel completely comfortable, otherwise you may not be able to relax fully.
You can always be covered with towels, unless you prefer not to be. This allows you to be without clothes and at the same time maintain warmth, comfort and modesty. Only the part of the body being massaged will be temporarily uncovered. Towels can also be useful because of the loss of body temperature during the manipulation of muscles and tissues. For this reason, it is very important that the room temperature is warm or cool enough (around 22-24 °C in winter and 25-30 °C in summer).
If you feel uncomfortable undressing or remaining in your underwear even under the towel, you can choose to keep your clothes on and avoid massage oils, but this is not recommended as it would greatly affect the effectiveness of the treatment.
We can discuss this before the treatment.
Oils used
The best lubricants for gliding over the skin during a massage are oils or creams and lotions. In most cases, a professional massage lotion will be used, which leaves the skin very moisturised and hydrated, but not greasy like when using oils, so you can get dressed after the massage without taking a shower, avoiding staining your clothes.
These are professional, hypoallergenic products containing natural nutrients and vitamins, which are easily absorbed by the skin; therefore, they do not usually leave stubborn stains on clothing.
If you do not like feeling “greasy”, you can choose talcum powder, but the effectiveness of the treatment will be slightly reduced.
